Threads App trails behind Twitter due to lack of dark mode and desktop/web version

Threads an app build by the Instagram team for sharing with text. Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg recently launched an initial version of Threads. The company is working hard to develop apps compatible with users.

According to some users on Reddit and Twitter, there is no desktop version of the app yet. Users can only operate the Threads application through their mobile phones. A desktop version will definitely appear someday. Also, the app only appears in light mode when the user switches the device theme to dark.

There is no option in the app to switch between dark and light mode, the default is light mode. So users need an option to turn on/off dark mode. The company should examine the needs of these users and roll out this feature in an upcoming update.

While the Meta Threads App currently defaults to a light mode interface, incorporating a customizable dark mode option offers a multitude of benefits to users. However, plently of users are not confortable with the default light mode in Threads app.

If you don’t know the Meta Threads app, it was recently released by Mark Zukarberg and is currently geared towards mobile users. The company is working on a desktop version, which will be released soon.
